    Hey Mike,

    The badge itself looks good
My only concern is the catch and the makers mark
Haven’t seen that type of catch on a L54 badge.
The same with the mm haven’t seen the rounded type
on a wound badge before, only on EK1 maybe the EK guys can
help on this one. I have only seen wound badges with L54 mm not L/54
Let’s see what the wb fanatics will say

    Cheers,
    Ronny

          L/54 GOLD WB request

I had looked at WB rarity stats and saw a number of forum members listed L/54 but did not see many Gold examples listed or "type" breakdown? I would be interested in trying to fill a 3 wb maker block for a rare maker . Would any WB enthusiasts/members please post any of their gold examples? I would be especially interested to know if any marked packets or cases have been identified for this maker? The gold grade might be a relatively scarce maker for wound badges. Always a little concerned with these requests for #1 driving up the market and #2 educating forgers but I guess they would have a pretty good base from the exsisting info already on the latter. Anyway thanks in advance.

              Mike,
I have one other L54 picture on file and the obverse matches yours. The lines in the oak leaves, like yours are very pronounced. The reverse of the hardware also tends to match. My guess is that its a good 'un.

                    L/54

Any more L/54 set ups that members would share? With the new forum for these was hoping it would generate more interest.

                      Hello:

I note in my photo files of L/54 EK1s that two types of maker marks exist.

                      1. In line maker mark with no slash.
                      2. Maker mark in an arc with the slash.

Would it not be likely to assume that either mark would be appropriate for their wound badge production as well?

                      Dennis

Thank you , that is a very good comparison to use the the ek1 marks. My GWB has the L/54 just like the silver one pictured here, thanks again.
