what is your opinion on this Silver Wound Badge. Perhaps maker 30 ?!

Dear secter,

Certainly NOT a 30. To be honest, I do not like the obverse design of this badge at all. Looks out of proportion and misshaped to me, both helmet and wreath leaves. Not for your collection, IMO.

Hi Secter,

I agree with Frank in that it's not an unmarked 30 wound badge. The obverse features look detailed but they also look strange, sort of flat/low relief - difficult to describe.

I would certainnly not write the badge off immediately however - I'd want to have a look at it in person before saying genuine or repro in this instance. The "strangeness" may be correct for another manufacturer.

I checked at least with all the makers I have on file and these are a lot, if not a complete list. None of them have these obverse characteristics. They are all pretty much similar when it comes to the obverse and this design seems wierd.
