"Spanish" wound badge in Gold.

Hi Guys, as I am still playing with my new camera, here is another "Spanish" pattern wound badge from my collection, this time in Gold. Purchased in the early 1980's for £30. The badge is very well made with great detail. It is made from a hollow pressing onto which is braised a backing plate. Hope the pics are of interest?

Hi Frank, glad you like the badge. If I ever part with it I will give you first refusal. I bought it in 1979 for £30, which to me was then two weeks wages as a young lad in his first job . The "story" that went with the badge was that it was found in a house in North Africa by an officers batman. He was ordered to light a fire and found this badge and some others under some rubbish in the fireplace. I would guess it would have been in Tunisia?
