Hi Eric. I also have a silver 65 wound badge in with a zinc base. Can you give me any advice on preservation? Unfortunatly I do not have a case like yours. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jeremiah

I'm not a big 3rd Reich collector per se, but when I got this example it had been stashed away since the war. I stashed it away as well, and very rarely take it out. I found it this weekend while looking for something else and popped the pics on the Forum and then put it back away.
I surmise that there may be quite a few threads that touch upon the topic of zinc preservation. Just try a search with a few key words. Hope this helps a bit!

p.s. Hope the pics help you find the correct case for your badge- if the badge is quite used, be patient and you may very well find a case in comparable condition.
