    Gold WWI Wound Badge as a Hanger

    Hi Folks: I recently attended a flea market in France and I found this. Not sure if good...but I like the details...the engraving is another matter. I have very little invested in this piece so

    Engraving "30.Sept.1917 KALNISCHKI"

    Maybe a woman’s remembrance piece for her son/husband or family member...vs. a military piece.

                Thanks for the additional pics of the engraving. IMHO not a period engraving but most likely a post -45 made one. Badge it self could be a TR era made one.
