    First Pattern Design

My personal preference in design is for the First Pattern Wound Badges. I think ultimately the design matured and evolved beautifully, however, I just find the First Patterns easy on the eyes. Which do you guys prefer?

I'd be interested in your opinions on the few I've picked up over the years...

    Hi Dave,

Nice grouping of 1st Pattern WBs

I like the leaf design on the 1st Pattern, much more detailed than the final pattern. However, I prefer the helmet design of the final pattern so it is sort of a mixed bag for me.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

A very nice line up you have there! Love the P&L GWB

I tested my self to see if i could identify the top 4 badges without looking at the reverse .... nailed all 4 of them.
i guess it makes me a WB addicted

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

They are so nice and so underappreciated. I also have a weak spot for them in my collection
            Kind regards,

Thanks so much for your comments guys! The early designs certainly hold a lot of charisma!
