Hello, about 18 years ago I got a call from a friend telling me there was someone in my small town that had a German Afrika medal. I went and visited them and the woman told me her brother came home with these two medals. I was sitting at the table with her husband and he kind of kept quiet, smiling. I bought the medals and his wife proudly asked if I knew about the USS Pueblo and Commander Pete Bucher. Well that was him and his wife. We chatted for a time and it was great. Sadly he passed away a year or so ago after we met. I think I have a photo somewhere. Best, Bill Bourque

I like the patina on the type 4 Afrika Medal. That one has a great look to it. The Wound Badge is actually a black grade that has been stripped of most of its finish.
