    BWB for Review

Would ask for thoughts on this BWB which is unmarked (at least that I can see). Everything is magnetic with the exception of the round top block hinge. The pin is quite thin in my opinion. The latch is flat stock and with a rather long foot or base. Construction, quality, and period wear look okay to me although the paint is a bit thick. I'm not that good on the makers by appearance only. Have looked at scores of badges on the forums and have not really encountered what I thought was a match for the latch which kind of worries me. On the other hand, haven't seen a known reproduction with these exact traits either. Thoughts from those here would be most appreciated.

Looks like a Wilhelm Schroeder WB, but I don't recall seeing that type of catch on one of these before. Hans, Ronny, etc. have you guys ever seen this variant?

    Thanks

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hello,

I have never seen a catch like that before.
        Could it be replaced. 🤔

          Hi guys,

the design is certainly a Schröder but the catch is a new one for me as well.
The pin is clearly a replacement so it is quite possible that the catch is it as well

            Hi guys,

I also think the catch is a replacement. The pin is as well as Hans said, and I also don't like the very thick black finish. I think it has been repainted to hide the repairs to the catch, and seeing the same type of finish on the replaced pin also points to a refinished example IMO.

              Hello gents,

whats the dimensions of the WB?
The 130 are a little bit bigger than the "normal" WB.

              Regards Shaver

Thanks to all of those who responded and for the learned comments. Very much appreciated. I thought that I might have seen this style catch on another badge type but can't place that either.
