    SWB S&L Double marked

    Hi guys,

What are your opinions on this double marked S&L badge?
Badge is made of zinc and marked L/16 on the reverse and 4 on the pin.
As far as I know L/16 markings are mostly underneath the catch or on the rim, but not on the side like this one.
Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards,

    AW

    Hi AW,

Looks fine to me. Like you, I have only seen the L/16 mark under the catch, but since it was hand stamped, it could really be anywhere and up to the individual worker. The mandate from the PKZ and LDO was the mark should be on the "lower portion of the badge on the reverse", so really it could be anywhere that is convenient for the worker to apply the stamp.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hello AW,

Nice badge. I have not seen a badge marked this way before.
I think it could be one of a kind. 🤔

Sometimes they can be found on the pin as well, From my files.
Often the mark is mistakenly identified as L/18...

Nice looking badge with a variant mm position
              I like it

Here is another S&L type with the mm over the catch

              Cheers,

                very nice WB indeed!
I know a mikro stamp "L/16" in the middle of the badge.
