    Eduard Hahn (EH 126)

    Hi guys,

Another SOS pick up, my first Eduard Hahn WB. This one nicely marked on the reverse with EH at the top and 126 near the bottom. I assume this is the 2nd pattern correct? (1st pattern being those with the little "EH" in the helmet?

Some of these 2nd pattern can be found with the little EH in the helmet too, assuming that the 1st pattern die was used to make the 2nd pattern with more pronounced maker mark? Do all 2nd pattern badges like mine have the little EH or remnants of it in the helmet? I don't see any trace of the EH in the helmet so I assume it is a different die.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Tom

      Hi Tom,

yes, the secound pattern is always triple marked.
But the markings in the helmet can be very faint.

          Hi Tom,

          Very nice Eduard Hahn badge!

As far as I know you can come across three types of these badges:

          Marked: EH in the helmet
          Marked: EH & 126
Marked: EH & 126 and EH in the helmet

          Kind regards,

          AW

Thanks guys, much appreciate the replies.

Nice example Ronny. There is no sign at all of the 126 in the helmet, correct?
