    Fake Deschler/Wiedmann design?

    Hi,

I saw this piece being offered as a fake and I does look very fishy but I haven't seen any fake D/W design badges yet,

    What's you opinion?

    Hi Mats

I am not a big fan of this one
Whats with the hole/mark on the back?
Pin and catch also looks bad IMHO

    Cheers,
    Ronny

Thank you Ronny! I really don't like it either but thought I'd ask for a second opinion

Very strange mark on the back indeed. Looks like a drill mark of some kind,

Scary that even these get faked already,

        Hi Mats,

it is a cast fake. I had the opportunity a couple of years ago to handle one of these and there are no question that they are fake.

Here are the pics from when i was cuddling with one. Can´t remember who it was that sent it to me to look at but there should be a old topic regarding this one

Very suspicious looking indeed, especially the grainy finish and the hardware. Nice confirmation Hans, a pretty good fake especially if you would meet one at a show where the lighting isn't the best.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Looks like it is the same badge, hard to see with the different lighting but many
dents and flaws looks the same on the back
Even the marks on the pin are the same

            Cheers,
            Ronny

fake one, with the characteristic hardware encountered in other fakes, especially the pins then the catch.
Also it hasn't the proper material made of, clearly this is shown.

                Hi Ronny,

close but not a cigar as they say. Not that it really matters but there are differences present as well. I highlighted som of them
