And here is the 2-dot flaw on the back of the helmet rim, it is identical to the two notch fakes, you closeup shows it well.

    Thanks

      Hi Shaver,

I don't see how you can say the paint is not thick, it was certainly thick enough to obscure the maker mark almost completely. Look at the left sword hilt, the grooves are almost completely obscured. The right sword hilt is a little better so this tells us it is an uneven coating of paint rather than lack of detail on the badge itself.

The reverse swastika holds another clue to the thickness of the finish, look how rough the surface is, lots of trapped airbubbles from incorrect applied finish IMO. This rough texture finish is also a classic sign of Stagemeir fakes.

        Hello Tom,

I have the advantage of having the WB in my hand.
If the stamp was subsequently stamped, the embossing is not deep!

        I made some new fotos.
As I sad, I know this fake.

Well spotted Tom! It´s no longer any doubt with those flaws he has pointed out here. It is indeed the same fake design as the massive ones i posted a couple of days ago.
            Regards
            Hans N

                Hi all

A bit late to the party, but I fully agree with Tom
For a first glans it looked like an orginal badge with a post war makers mark
but from the detective work by Tom I come to the same conclution

A good thread and very informativ for any WB collector

                Good job guys

                Cheers,
                Ronny

The badge arrived to me yesterday for future reference and for research.
