Another link between Schickle and BH.Mayer?

Found this badge today which i had to buy to investigate closer. To me the design of the badge is a Otto Schickle while the hardware looks to be a B.H.Mayer

This Mayer is from my own collection which looks to match in terms of the hardware. The pin on this is marked 26

      Hi Hans,

Interesting find and I agree another link to Schickle/Mayer.

Were the makers still making these 1st Pattern WW1 wound badges in 1941? I guess to sell to veterans of WW1?

      Thanks

      Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi Tom,

I believe these World War 1 wound badges are presented untill late 1941.

We also know the LDO marked badges like the L/21 and L/56.
So these have to be made in 1941 or maybe even in later years

        Marco

Wrong catches on both of those! It´s already known that Otto Schickle was ordered to sell out his stock in mid 1941 and this is the reason to why we can find Schickle designed badges with Pforzheim companies maker marks like Zimmermann, Förster & Barth
