You have an original Bronze badge with most of its finish absorbed by the zinc base. The catch may have been replaced, hard to determine from your straight on image.
There were 2 makers of this badge: L.CHR.LAUER and Steinhauer & Luck.

Google "German Horse Rider badge requirements" and you will find an explanation of how it was earned.

I saw your HJ Rider badge but it is not something I am familiar with.

Requirements for the bronze grade were:

            a) Proficiency in horse dressage (demonstrating horse riding to the requirements of a class A dressage examination).
            b) Proficiency in horse jumping (riding a horse over an obstacle course to the requirements of a class A show-jumping).
            c) Theoretical and practical proficiency in horsemanship and the caring for horses.

(Categories a) and b) could also be met by attaining certain prizes in public competitions.)
