2 DVG badges and opinions please

I wondered about your thoughts on these two. One with both markings and one with just W Redo. I have read that some consider the W Redo only a fake and some say it is ok. Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you may give.

Yes, the straight dot pattern is visible in the first badge. That's clearly a fake. The second piece looks better IMO. I don 't have Jo's book by hand right now but I have to check it.

What book are you referring to, Jo's book? Thanks for the comments so far. In hand, the second badge doesn't have the straight lines the first on does, they are kind of scattered. Is that what to look for?. Do you think the first one is one the company made after the war, as I have read Redo kept making badges for a while?

The Redo is a well known fake, sorry. The second one is a nice original.
