    Potsdam 1932 Badges

I would like to get your opinion about the originality of two Potadam 1932 Badges in Bronze and in Silver.
Bronze Badge does not look bad. It has clear mark "H" in the bottom left corner.
Silver one, however, has very soft details, what warries me.
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Hello there Klaus I can only show my more worn example. Much of the silver is off but you can compare the H. PS Now I am looking and see the two are no way even the same.

        Hello Robert and Erich,

Thank you very much for your input. Here I place bigger photos of my badges, if required.

My badge in bronze seems to be the same variant as Robert's silver one.

My silver one is another type. What puzzled me was the relatively poor shape of the letters, almost missing dot between "I" and "Reichs" and the soft detail of the sword grip.

Their are variants to these badges as they were produced well into the early years of the war.

Klaus, both are original and well known shamples. For me the second one was made later than the other.
              Regards

The Potsdam badge in bronze was only a meeting badge from 1932. Afterwards, the silver ones could be worn by the 100.000 Hitler youth members which participated in 1932.

The bronze badge was the fundraiser for the Reichsjugendtag 1932 (along with stamps and cards) and there is proof for this. The situation with the silver is much less clear. Yes, it later became the outward sign for those who "were there" but how that happened is not fully clear. The HJ Research Forum has a good thread on this. The Potsdam badge was killed off in 1943.
