Gausieger collection

Hi everyone,


I added a nice Gausieger to my collection. It's growing step by step. I wonder what caused the bleued effect on the wreath? The same kind of blue can be found on the Participant badge from 1938. It closely resembles the bleued color of the panels on extra cost dress bayonets and sabers…?

I'm not tottaly convinced that it is patina. Note how presice
it is bordered around the two berries on top of the wreath?
