Is this real or fake and what would be an all around fair price to offer the seller?

I have been offered to buy this HJ youth pin. Not sure if its for a knife or a cap. Is it real or fake and if real seller says make an offer. What would be a fair offer?

Hi brock,

I believe this is a grip logo for/from an HJ Knife. Such a piece would have almost no value, IMO, especially given the poor condition of the finish on the piece. While it might be of some interest to have this piece in one's collection, as an illustration of what a grip logo looked like before it was attached to an HJ Knife, I would only spend $5.00 or $10.00 for it, at the most.

Brian, in my experience I believe grip diamonds had the back fixing welded in the middle so the prongs could be bent when fixed into the round hole found in the grip
