Hi all,
Just received this in an auction lot and thought I would share as I have never seen it before nor could find any reference of it online or in Joe Cassidy's books (don't have Tieste though). Unfortunately missing the pin and has a hole drilled in it, but an interesting background:
Ebenrode is now apparently a Russian city called Nesterov. It was called Stallupönen until 1938, but that was too un-German sounding for the powers that be and it was renamed Ebenrode. Then overrun by the Russians in January 1945 and renamed in 1946.
Has anyone seen any other tinnies from Ebenrode? Any ideas on what is in the bottom wreath?
The maker is M 9/29 - Rud Wachtler & Lange, Mittweida.
Happy Hunting! Justin
