Although there is a version of the first badge posted that is real, this one is not. The "bastardized" Aurich logo is used on many fake badges and is a dead give away as to the lack of authenticity.
Bought this Luftschutz badge last week at the Ulm Militaria Fair. Due, in a large part, to this and other similar threads, discussing the variants in circulation. Gave gave me confidence to put my hand in the sharks pool and not get bitten. I knew what I was looking for - a numbered piece, marked - Ges. Gesch. J.Preissler Pforzheim. There were enough pieces sprinkled throughout the tables, only at the 7th attempt did I find this one. The other six had good enamel fronts, although the blue enamel on some was a much deeper blue, all backs were plain, just with pin. Made me wonder how many fakes are in circulation, as I needed seven attempts to find a good one. Paid €80.
