The tinnie as you are inquiring about is supposed to represent the "German Horse Driver's Badge".

I dont know much about these other than the most common form is the same type like your DRL badges for maker marks and pin / hinge and catch assembly.

I would venture to guess that yours is the pin "tinnie" version? Whats the Diameter of it?

That is not a tinnie, it is the actual badge, as Bob correctly pointed out. It was instituted 1932. Any youth under 17 years of age could earn it.

Thanks for the correction Frank. Are these type with the pin on the reverse the same size as the type that has the similar reverse to the DRL badges? Thanks. I'm just trying to learn more about this stye badge
