Wasn't sure where to post this question but maybe someone can offer some information. Not sure what this is other than maybe a watch fob. And a fantasy piece? I lean towards original only due to the quality being superb as in the detail and the enamel. It is fairly heavy (31 grams) and measures 54mm by 38mm. It is approximately 5mm at its thickest point (the iron cross). Has anyone seen one of these? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Ron,
Thank you very much for the information. The eagle and crown was confusing as it wasn't German. The Iron Cross pointed me toward a German award. Nice medal in my estimation and very nice quality.

There was a ribbon floating around with the grouping unattached to anything. Thanks to your images it is the correct ribbon for the medal.

In my opinion is a fake or areproduction.

Very nice comparison photos. Thank you very much. The lack of cutouts bothered me and you have pointed out numerous other issues which leads me to believe it is a reproduction. I was told some were issued after the war and could be different but I don't believe as different as this one. It sure is good quality though.
