    Kitzbuhl 1943 Schiessen award

    Hello all:

Wanted to get views, reviews and thoughts on this tinnie/award. Knowing these are routinely reproduced, I believe this to be authentic to period. However, definitely not sure.

As always, be tough on it!

    Many thanks,
    Gary

I'm sorry to say that the version with the word "Meisterklasse" is a known fake, beleived to have been produced by Floch. The genuine Kreismeister badge for Kitzbühel in 1943 is a one piece (the wreath is part of the badge not an addition) with a gold wreath, & the word Kreisschiessen rather than Meisterklasse.

Documentation from the period also shows the gold wreath version rather than theone shown above..

I can no longer post images here, but this link shows the genuine version http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...b%FChel&page=4

        Sorry

          Thank you Don

Thanks Don - very much appreciated!

Exactly what I was looking for. I have not put as much effort into researching these as I have the Tirolean shooting pin-badges and was quite unsure. This is precisely the info I needed - will take a huge “pass”.

          Many thanks,
          Gary

            Hi Don:

My somewhat meager current grouping of shooting pins ...

              And very nice too!

Nothing to worry about with any of those. The Salzburg piece can be tough one to find sometimes, nice find.

              Thanks for posting.
