Ive been working on purchasing this belt this week and finally its now in my hands and i wanted to share this HJ award with you. Its had a hard life with the rear pin gone , a good crack along the enamel and the veteran drilling two holes in the sides to fasten it to his belt.

Just back from doing a show over the Bank holiday, im wondering if anyone is able to help with this 43 award. Trawling through the net ive seen the 42 jugendmeister but never a 1943 dated example, i belive these 43 events did take place and a ice hockey team did win from the Bremen area were the Royal Naval veteran who put this belt together ended his war.Comment

I must admit surprise with the lack of knowledge and comments here on the forum on this rare HJ sports award. Im guessing this must be the first example seen by fellow members , surely such a scarce award would prove more interesting than the 145 views and no replies🙄Comment

Hi !
I am sure that it is an original but it is easy to test it: Those which are not zinc based have to be magnetic.
