And how can one be sure this membership number belongs to the Hans? Thank you

According to my list of GPB recipients, NSDAP Membership Number 9986 belonged to Hans Petersen, as the offering indicates, who eventually held the rank of SA-Obergruppenführer. The badge itself appears to be genuine, in near-mint condition, and a fine four-digit number.
