Sometimes the multi-coloring/toning on the reverses look better than that of the fronts!

I'm not stating it's a fake as I don't know, but this is a rare tinnie & up to around a year ago, very hard to find.

Lately there has been a number of these floating about on various websites. Worryingly, there are one or two slight differences between the new crop & the old ones, most noticeably, the very bottom of the right sig rune just slightly disapears behind the skull on the old ones but not on the current ones.

I'll have a hunt around to see if I can find the pictures of the old type. If any of you have the manions books it's in vol 4, #1495 I believe.

                    Cheers

Here is one posted by Gary (mott5ranch) way back on page 1 of this thread I took the liberty of mounting it beside Ralph's to get a good comparison between these two pins. I did look up this pin in Manion's #4 tinnie vol. it's just like Gary's. You will notice many differences between the two pins then just the right SIG rune tip behind the skull. This could be due hopefully to this pin being made by more then one manufacturer .

                      Ah, there it is.

I'd been plowing back through the old posts looking for that one. Thanks for finding it.

There's plenty differences between the two in the details. I'd like to see some more of these. The one presently on Jamie Cross's site is exactly like mine.

I think I might start another thread on these.

Thanks for posting this comparison James.

As I said in my post, I'm not crying fake as I honestly don't know. But up to about a year ago, the only ones I'd ever seen were the type with the hidden tip to the left rune. Now all of the ones I'm seeing are these others, which to be honest are in many ways nicer than the first type as they have sharper more defined features.

There are more about now as well, before I only ever saw 1 maybe in a year. This is the 4th in 3 months.........

I agree with Ralph, this should have a new thread as it's detracting from the original topic, sorry guys .

                        Cheers

                            Reverse:

It's Lederplast or NitroPlast or EfoPlast... or whatever.

These come by many names. Sort of a "leathery plastic".

All by E. O. Friedrich of Leipzig

                              The rest of my 'plast.

Most of them say EfoPlast. Two are LederPlast and now I have another NitroPlast. But they are all by Friedrich.

Here is a neat 1935 paper tinnie I picked up while in Germany. Believe it reads " Radfahrer= Feit Martinsheim june 1935" Mike
