Meanwhile, back in the Third Reich...

No one else seems to be paying any attention to the fact that these hard-to-find "LederPlastik" (aka Efoplast) tinnies were made by a single manufacturer (who must have held the patent, as he prints the patent number on the backs of some of them). I've been snapping them up as I find them.

Lederplastik = "leathery plastic" and indeed this is a very apt description of the consistency of the piece.
