Notorious fakes - I've never seen a legitimate M1/129 badge.

              Have a look here: http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x/...3/m/8560074323

                Hello Forum Members,

I too have seen many fakes with the above
                mentioned mark of m1/129. However,
this is either an original or the best reproduction
                of this pin ever.
                Firstly,
If one looks closely at the red enamel on the front
of the badge, the correct "bubbling" underneath the
                red ring can be seen.
                Also,
                The metal used
for the pin itself seems correct, the repros of these
pins are coated in nickel silver or "german silver" and
shine like a new dime, even with convincing aging on
a piece, flecks of this silver still shine through.
                Lastly,
The pin attachment on the back corresponds to the
original nsdap type pin back. The reproduction pins
are slightly thinner, this one appears to have the
proportionate width of an original nsdap party pin.

As stated, an original(of which I personally believe it is)
or the best copy ever, and after seeing too many of these
m1/129 copies this is highly doubtful.)

The piece shown above would be welcome in my collection.

                Sincerely,
                Robert W Clark

This is a M1/129 reproduction, look at the maker code, the digit "1",,, they look like the letter alphabet "I" instead of your typical number ones "1" found in all the NSDAP Badges.

In addition to what's already been said, the color of the lettering and border(s)has a certain "unnatural slivery hue" to it which I find to be a dead giveaway on reproduction pieces. Before even seeing the M1/129 I cast my vote as repro.
Also notice how the white enamel is almost too white.

                      Hi Jray and John,

I see what you mean with the digit "1" and also the
very faint silvery shine of the lettering and border on
                      the front.
Great call. I stand corrected on this very clever
                      reproduction.
                      Sincerely,
                      Bob Clark

                        Size.

What is the size of this piece? Is it a mini?

The lettering seems to be unusually fat as well.
