    2 Mutterkreuze in gold

    Hi,
here are some pictures of two mother crosses in gold.
But the first is somehow strange, I think it's probably a fake, because of the thick swaz and fresh look?

    First Mutterkreuz:

    And the second:

Also what stands out to me on the first one is the lack of stippling in the blue enamel like you can see on the second one.

The stippling should appear to be under the blue enamal not in it! The blue should be opaque with the ridges of the base metal visible.

Also Sepp, you have been asking about a few of these things, your not asking us how real they look so maybe you can sell them on?..

          Absolutely no.

I want to buy them, therefore I'm asking in this forum.

Well I never saw a fake MK that comes anywhere near that first one. Also the white enamel has black specks which is a very good sign. IMO both are genuine, there were a large number of makers for these.

Sepp, With these new photo's of the first MK I would yes it is a very nice example.
Craigob, I do what to clarify one thing I said before about the stippling under the blue enamel yes I know the stipple pattern is engraved into the base metal of the badge or as in this case cross and the enamel has to be translucent not opaque so one can see it just like red enamel of NSDAP membership badges.

Very well then, thanks for your help guys!

I have only one last question: what's a Mutterkreuz in gold in such condition worth?
