heya all
Heres a little collection on the kreistag swastika badges 1939 idd collected over some years now and besides studying the events, then the more i collect the more questions it rise so its a badge whit some mysteries included. Well all the badges is from the lower GAU in germany and includes several cities from the Czec, austria and germany so we are pretty deep down in germany.
As some of you already can see its not complete yet, there still some cities to go but lets have a look on those already founded.
What first strikes me is how they have standardized the badge of this magnitude, is remarkable, and the probability that the coming war has had an impact on the quality also makes its mark as it is a pretty fragile badge made in a cheap material and stamped in a cheap way too, that means the maker C. Poellath reused his design from 1935 " Kreis Donauwürth Fahnenübergabe " so basic only city names was changed. this is under a year before the war so he was proberbly on budget.
what strikes me further is the rarity of the badge, its extreme hard to get around and you will only meet them rarely on normal collecting method, so its a badge ull have to hunt down the hard way, in which points in the direction of a participants badge for each Nsdap offices listed in these city names, also the collor of the badges points in that direction because they come in gold , silver and bronze as you can see more visual on my last picture. i have not yet seen a city in more then same collar, so maybe you guys can fill in the blank there, so if the collar differ idd like to know
lets look on the gold first
