Silver DRL Badge - Any Good?

I would appreciate the opinions of WAF members on the originality of this DRL Badge in Silver.

I have my doubts if it is an original period piece. The back of the badge and the way it was struck looks odd to me. It appears to be cupped around the interior where the lettering is placed.

Red arrows point to the deep rim, or curb. I have never seen this characteristic Wernstein Jena DRL Badge.
