A pristine example of the 1938 Labor Day Badge.

Thank you for your answer. Condition is the reason why I have asked about this badge. Is it possible it is not genuine?

Both the Sieper and the Klett badge were produced from bakelite, an early form of plastic, and plastic does not degrade the way various metals and other substances do. Of course, the steel pin does deteriorate over time, but both of the examples shown have been well-cared-for and the pins are intact. Both badges show sharp images that have looked this way for the last 80 years and, with care, will continue to look just as nice long into the future.

As we know today, plastics in land fill areas and in the oceans and lakes are so dangerous because they do not quickly decompose the way many other substances do.

Not so easy to find plastic (not Bakelite) version of the 1 Mai 1938 badge.
