Was soccer played in December? Now soccer season usually ends in October.

Regarding the England / Germany pin, the game in December was played in London; which by the way, the English Premier Leauge plays throughout the winter break.

Nice event pins btw. Seeing pins featuring games between Garmany and England, and Germany and Hungary, I’m thinking there have to be others. (Germany / France, Germany / Netherlands, etc)

I also believe that these pins were produced in part through the premier Football magazine / newspaper “Der Kicker”. Which you can still buy at German newstands today.

The pins were probably part promotion of the game, part advertising for the newspaper.
