Here's a picture of the DVG pin I have, not particularly a badge guy here so wondering also if this is a good one or bad. I remember reading somewhere a while ago that the lettering in the word saarlautern has something to do with determining originality. Any info or comments welcome. I can post better pictures if needed also

Wim, thanks for that info. As mentioned I did read somewhere quite a while ago that the lettering is as you mention, something to be looked at to determine originality of these items but not being a badge guy in addition to me not remembering exactly what was said about the lettering, what is yours and others opinion regarding the piece I show. Maybe M9/112 or something like that is another maker. I don't know it for sure. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong...
