    This just came in the mail yesterday.
    It looked beautiful when I bought it online ...

    But when I looked at it with my loop, here is what I saw:

    The arrow points to an air bubble in the hot metal that has not burst yet

    The rim shows many air bubbles that burst from the rim creating a mass of pits.

    Here you can see lots of pits on the shields and in the field to the right of the three men.

    Postage to a foreign country costs $10 to return.
    The honest dealer I bought it from immediately said he would give me a partial refund so we each will lose about the same amount of money on this badge.
    It didn't cost much so I am out very little money.
    The lesson to be learned is always carry a loupe with you when you go to a show and learn how to spot these cast fakes.
    These castings are getting better all the time!!

      Why only a partial refund? He sold a repro to you and should give you a full refund JMHO.
