I have seen these in the past a few times, sometimes with the Olympic rings colored. I have no idea whether these awards are real or fantasy items though. For some reason, and I can't really say why, I have avoided buying one because I just have a feeling that most of them are bogus, just my opinion though and nothing to back up that opinion.

I quite like the design, if it were some kind of fantasy piece then they've gone for an unusually aesthetic style which I wouldn't expect. Normally they would be a bit more 'look at me'. I'd be interested to know the dimensions of the enamelled section, is it the same size as the standard badge of this design? That would make sense. The small badge in ivory has a larger cousin, the auto plakette, which have been copied and comes in the multi coloured version which I've never been keen on.

I agree with you, ten or twenty years ago you would never see these, but this is about the tenth or so i see in a year.
