    NSDAP Party Pin Check Please

Ive had both of these pins for a long time and decided I was gonna sell one , so I was looking at them side by side and noticed that even though they are from the same maker there are significant differences between them which makes me wonder about theyre authenticity . I never questioned either one to be honest . Appreciate any Input on these guys .

I just bought a M1/72, Zimmerman from a member on the estand, that also has the botton hole attachment.

It also has the dark lettering that is on your example, on the left.

No doubt these are original, but why the maker would make the letters on the enamel so difficult to read is perplexing.

      When and why?

        hi

Is it not just the ageing of the metal type to the planchet. You get the very same
colour to the HJ diamonds on some .the discolouring will be in the raised areas and in the centre around swas .(on HJ Diamonds that is ).
Hope that may be of help.
        Regards Pete

They both good original badges. Different kind of the planchet doesn't mean anything . This manufacturer is most mass production maker party badges of the period.

On the left badge only the silver wash is gone from wear.

Have to wonder if Wurster even made any M1/34 or if Parteiabzeichen were all subcontracted.

Karl Wurster was one of the top designers and engravers at Gustav Brehmer company. I think these two companies were competitors in making party badges. I think the party badges of these companies should have very similar design and engravings M1/34 vs M1/101

                      ah

                      ahhh.
didn't realise it was through wear I thought it was discolouration of the metal.
                      interesting ...
We all can learn everyday that is for sure.

Interesting point , this could explain the many variations shared between Wurster and Brehmer .
