    Adolf Hitler Plaque Tinnie?

    Hi all,

I have had this in my collection for a while now and ever have seen one before. Can anyone help ID it for me? It is very small and presumably a tinnie?

    Thank you!

What are the dimensions ? On the reverse, there are 2 places where some kind of attachment may have been.

Thank you for the reply! The dimensions are roughly 3 inches in height as well as 2 inches in width.

I also noticed these markings and had some theories. But Ive ever seen another before.

        Hi William:

Based on the size, it's very large for a tinnie. I can't completely rule it out, but most tinnies have some wording, to commemorate the reason for the tinnie. Looking at the solder traces, I wonder if it had 2 straight pins originally, to be tacked to a walking stick (which was, and still is done)?

        Either way, imo, it's period.

        Best,

        Andre

Agree with Giuseppe, too large for a Tinnie, but looks legit for an early 1930s memento they sold at rallies, etc. Kitsch, they called it later, but rare historical stuff now. The quality in the earliest kampfzeit days was not often the best.
          Looks real to me IMHO.

Thanks guys for the input! I purchased a small group of tinnies which this was found in - I figured it was just another piece I had not seen before.

But hopefully this will lead me in the right direction to find out exactly what it is!

            Thanks again
            William
