In November 1884, some bowling clubs joined together in Krefeld and founded the Keglerverband of the Rhine and Ruhr.
This year the Deutsche Kegel- und Skatzeitung was established.
After the first local chapter was formed in Berlin, the Central Association of German Bowling Clubs was founded in June 1885 in Dresden.
From 1886, federal festivals were regularly held on the then recognized asphalt and screed courses.
In December 1889, the Central Association of German bowlers was renamed the German Bowler Association (DKB) .
The first German championships and the first three-road comparison battle with the USA on planks, asphalt and bowling lanes took place in 1891.
The scissors lift was approved in 1921 by the German Keglerbund, the bowling alley is admitted as a further type of venue in 1929.
After the dissolution in WW2 , the reestablishment of the German Keglerbundes occured during 1950 in Bielefeld.
The 4th International Competition was held in New York in 1934.
This is a memento of that occasion.....
