HJ Leaders Sports Badge Numbered

Found this HJ Leaders Sports Badge in an antique store a few weeks ago. I did some research on the forum to compare it with known originals and it looked good to me but medals aren't my field. I'd like to have it authenticated before posting it for sale. Thanks, Jay

I agree with Patrick: an original example of an awarded HJ Leaders Sport Badge, though the bright gilt finish has been diminished over the decades.

And no, I am not aware of any extant central list linking the award numbers on these badges to the names of the HJ Leaders who received them...though I would be VERY happy to know if anyone here has found such a list!

I agree: original, but also worn to dead. That's a pity as the golden finish adds much eye appealing to these type of awards.

Absolutely right, Wim! The combination of the flat gold finish accented with bright gilt highlights, together with the lapis blue background to the piece, makes this badge one of the most exciting TR creations ever made, and one of my true favorites!

After looking carefuly at both badges, I would say they are the same badge.

Same little flaws, same finish wear pattern in places, many marks in the same place.

The general appearance may look a little different but I think that is due to the light etc and maybe changes over time.

So one thread says bad and the other good..

I saw this badge earlier and did not like the appearance of the reverse all. If we have a second example with the same number, I think we have an issue.
