A fine example of the large Deschler GPB. Did any provenance come with this piece -- it's not on my GPB list at this time.

a beautiful original 30 mm Deschler....think it was mentioned before, but does anyone have an explanation
for the two round circles below the numerals stamped on the reverse? thanks, bob

            cirles on reverse

            Hi Bob,
Not an expert by any means, but judging how faint the "circles" are, I would think that perhaps that is the die stamp ejector pushing the die out for the next stamping.
            Just a guess,
            Tom

Congrats, Peter, and as this piece came from John Pepera's collection, that makes it all the sweeter...IMHO, of course! (I also bought one of John's GPBs through the original HH auction and, as I consider John a valued friend, it will stay with me for as long as I have left in this hobby!)

                    Cheers,

                    Br. James

Thanks again, Br. James! Initially I wanted to buy completely other items in this auction but unfortunately was not successful. So this was my very last bid there... I like the badge and for sure will keep it in my collection.

                      All the best, Peter
