These badges usually give me the creeps. Also maker mark M1/123 scare me as hell.

There is no doubt that these badges did exist in the period. Different types and different sizes. I have found several in direct purchased veteran's lots and will post photos when I find them.

                      Excellent!

                      What are the maker marks?

                      Best regards,

I guess they did exist than. Yet the swastika seems to be much thinner in the period photo than what is usually seen on M1/33's and M1/123's

I think the swastika looks thinner because of the graininess of the photo. The Party badge swastika appears thin too, so it's likely the photo.

Another detail to consider as regards the swastikas' appearance is that the glare/reflection on the badges' surface renders the swastikas' outlines invisible, when we know they're really there and that they add to the 'weight' of the swastikas, making them look just a bit thicker in real life.

                              Hi all,

I noticed that this Altherrenbund pins are always very controversial, so I want to contribute to this thema. About 10 yers ago a hoard of them ( 2 sizes ) appered in a local antique store. Many of them without pins and in different condition. The seller told me that it was a ground dug, but didnt have any other details from the person that brought them to the store. I choosed some of them and bought them. I still have few of them in my collection. Lets see them.

I always believed that they are real.

                              All opinions welcome.

                              Best regards
                              Pavel
