    HJ Ceramic Tinnie

Any thoughts on this Hitler Youth ceramic Tinnie? Its clearly broken with some flaws to the paint as well but decided to get it since it wasn't too pricey and had a couple other items being shipped anyway.

I'm going to look up June 21st 1934 as well, I'm guessing some type of rally with or for the HJ.

    Thanks for any opinions
    Greg

Thanks for the info Ron. Trying to add some HJ youth to the collection. I'm really enjoying learning about this organization. Really interesting to me how the organization was made to prepare future soldiers of the Wehrmacht and adapted to putting these kids into the fight. It's almost chilling to think how the NSDAP had so many things in place for the long term... though I guess it's obvious as they called it the 1000 year Reich.

The only other HJ item I have is an HJ Fire Brigade badge which is a cool example of how they used organization for things way outside of their original purpose.

I like the items you showed in your pics. Do you have any other HJ items? I really like what I believe is your "enamel" type pin as well as the armband. Thumbsup!

            Hi Greg,

Ron has shown an enamel HJ membership pin, together with a standard HJ members armband.
Your sports badge is common, but none the less a desirable HJ badge.
Took me several years to actually purchase one, always something more desirable in my sights when one became available; but I finally got one about two years ago for about £20:00.
So glad I eventually got this badge for my collection - it is not the value of the badge, it is the value placed on the badge by the collector!
This badge is undervalued in my humble opinion.

            Best wishes,

            John.

              Thanks John.

The badge is certainly valuable to me, more so than it’s value. This is my second HJ item and they are an proud part of my collection. I hope to add more to it.
