Sirgmfk agreed later in the thread that although it has both the RZM and GG markings it is a good double marked Transitional . An "exception to the rule " that badges bearing both the RZM and GG are fake .

There are orignal badges with this marking probably just like this one ,however they are scarce.
What the problem is to new and advanced collectors is that there are tons of fake badges with this set up.
If you know what to look for you will spot them.
Its not for me at the moment and i would not want to add one just yet to my collection.

Fair enough , but I believe if you compare this badge to a known example you will be interested in finding room in the cabinet . Agreed , the vast majority (99%) of RZM / GG badges we see are junk but real ones exist.

Its the pin that is putting me off.I have no problems with the actual badge itself as we know do we not mate.

I'd buy this badge in a minute were it offered for sale. I've seen some fakes, but I don't know for the life of me why this one is being questioned.

Because my friend some collectors are more knowledgable than others.
Jo rivetts book THE PARTY BADGE makes you look at the bigger picture instead of having tunnel vision like some collectors do.
                        Sheep follow sheep.
Its historical fact first in understanding NSDA PARTY badges.

According to post on first page of this thread, Jo Rivett gave this badge a thumbs up. I have read his book three times and still refer to it every day as well as his website which has many many more examples than the book does. I am not an old hand to this hobby but I know enough to not speak unless I know what I'm speaking about. If I were a sheep (and I'm not saying that you're referring to me), I would agree with all of you saying bad, I was the first one to call it good.

All that said, I'm no expert. Maybe you guys are right, but I'd buy it without a doubt in my mind. All that said, debate is the best thing about public forums and our best chance to learn.
