"DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE" and "NUN ERST RECHT"

Hello,

Here is a "DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE" badge, but I think it is a fake since the swastika looks so crooked.
weight: 2,88 g Diameter: 18mm








and this "NUN ERST RECHT" seems to be from the same production since then back looks similar.
weight: 4,55 g Diameter: 23 mm







I'm not quiete happy with both. Do you agree?

I like both, but for the glue on the back. But could be an attempt from a collector to attach to a display board, or of the original owner to mark uniquely.

Both good and both early examples. I would love to have them in my collection. Nice score. Someone probably glued the attachments back on and did a sloppy job.

You can't just assume that a crooked swastika on these early party and propaganda badges means they are bad. The early dies were being engraved by hand and as such you get some crooked lettering and swas. A lot of times these dies were only used for a short time so these badges can be among the most rare. I know that exemplary quality is a normal hallmark and milestone for third reich items, but these very ealry items were being turned out as one offs by small shops some times and are very much authentic. In the case of party badges, the perfect ones are the ones that I look twice at.

I am somewhat new to party badge collecting. I learned all of this info from the party badge book by Jo Rivett. If you are collecting these, it's a MUST HAVE. All you need to know between two covers.
