    Enamel madness on Ratisbon's

    Hi everyone,

I was in the game for a while but had to give up: 370 EUR for a maker marked Meybauer Party Badge, 460 EUR for an early Austrian type Party Badge and 280 EUR for an NSDAP Frauenshaft badge...

I was hunting for the "Sudetenland 1938"-badge, but gave up at the € 875.-- point. It went for 1.040.-...

The results in the mentioned cases by Wim were really stunning. I guess Jo's book now shows results: party-badge is no longer party-badge... I'm afraid I bought my last Austrian "sunray"-badge for € 40.- last year...

          Best, Peter

I looked through all of the lots; yes, it might be time to sell your early, maker-marked party badges, but there were actually some bargains this time. Some really nice RZM era party badges for 50€-60€. Some groups of nice pins for less than market. Two decent SHB badges for 80€. I saw some field equipment for half of retail. GPB SET for ~1700€. So, the rare badges are through the roof and the common stuff may have droppped a bit. I have some early party pins I'd let go for 200€

I think the early party badges doesn't that rarely in comparison with the GBP's. I have a screenshot on my files of an meybauer badge like the one sold yesterday. It was sold about 15 years ago for 50€ at niemanns site

I bought a meybauer on WAF couple months ago for I think around 120 euro. I am thinking I made out like a bandit now. Bought another meybauer at a show this summer for even less. I wasn't aware that these are so sought after. Having two of them, I am now thinking it may be a good time to let one of them go so I can buy others that I don't have. But honestly, I like them both quite a lot. They are the only maker marked badges I have. I would probably consider trading it for another maker marked badge. I particularly like the Wagner ones with the FW symbol but haven't been able to find one yet.
