Not true, a Zinc based alloy, but I agree, Ron's looks like a cast copy.

The original badge was plastic covered with a thin covering of metal finish. Less than two hundred were made for the event and RARELY come up for sale. If it conducts electric current..........it's a fake.

11C, thank you for your more than interesting link! I collect pinpads and similar and sometime, unfortunately, it is possible to found fake. Your tricks will be really useful avoiding to waste money.
