The off centered C catch and the hinge block which looks different are 2 things that might be considered a problem, other than that it looks to be a good one. See what others who are more experienced with these badges have to say.

          Thanks rlimike.

I agree about the off centered c catch and hinge block but otherwise it must be a very very good fake, if so ?

He said the dot pattern on the red enamel is wrong and wrong catch also the needle is inclined mounted.

I looked at the diamond and compared it to a known original and could not see a difference in the dot pattern ... my eyes are old & I may be wrong, it looks to be good ...if it's a repro it's the best one out there IMHO.

I don't think all the HJ diamonds came from one single die. If you count all the Kreissiegers, Gausiegers and Reichssiegers you come to a pretty high figure. I have not compared my 1938 Kreis, Gau and Reichssieger but I will do that one of these days.

He he I agree with you.

I have also now been looking here at more than 10 of other originals and most of them looks as the same as this one.
                        So that collector is wrong.
                        Nice to find out

                          Hi,

from my point of view the badges are OK. And Wim said it, there were different manufacturers. If you interested in that topic, I can recommend my new book about the national trade competition, There are all badges, also different types in it.
