    Early rare tinnies

    1) Heim Errofnung 14./8. 32
    2) 4. Gauturnfest Ebensee 1.-2.7.33

    Note: Similar Design adopted for both Badges & both Manufactured by the Premier Austrian Maker R. Schanes. The Silver earlier Badge, Dated 1932 ( left hand side) weighs 12 gram, in comparrison to the later Bronze Badge, Dated 1933 (right hand side) is much lighter weighing just 7 gram. Also worth noting is the variation reagrding the design of the Swastika.

    Hi Martin:

    I've seen a bronze version of the Adalbert Schwartz one, and that strike (with part of it being incuse) is unusual...

    I can't weigh it for you at the moment (or tell you the maker - my collection's elsewhere at the moment), but here's a 3rd variant of the same basic design:

      Hello Andre, thank you for posting.................yes I do recall you purchsing that particular Badge via a WAF Member................how could I forget as you beat me to it....... to say the least you have a very sought after and desirable Badge.
      I should think that your Adalbert Schwartz Badge would be the same Austrian Manufacturer and the same weight, non the less it would be nice to get confirmation.

        YOU were my competitor on that one? I always wondered about that...but I'm not surprised, given your great taste in tinnies!

        It took me a while to get used to only having one arm and having to hop on one leg...but I regret nothing!

        I've gotten a couple of new ones in, the 1930 Regensburg SA Treffen (hexagon, with a neat eagle), and the 1935 Johann-Georgenstadt schitreffen...

        You were right, they are an addiction!

          Hello Andre, yes as the Badge was offered to me first, however the seller would not state a price, instead requesting that I make an offer for the Badge............albiet I pay good prices for Badges I never make offers as I prefer the seller to set the price..............hence he never got back to me
          Well your certainly not Armless ermmh I mean harmless when it comes to beating me to tinnies.............

            Perhaps he was holding an 'informal auction' for it...I had to pay for it, but "money comes and goes...a tinnie is forever".

            Haha! Yes, the Brigade 36 Skitreffen...one of the greats in tinnie designs, imo...and happily, I've got both the 1935 and 1936 versions now...

              Hello Andre, almost my words............. "Girl Friends come and go but a tinnie is for Life"............
              Later this Afternoon I will post a pre 1933 tinnie that design wise would give any tinnie a run for it's money..............see what you think when I post Pictures later today

                I'll take that as a sign for me to get excited...

                The range of designs is really amazing, and it seems like there's always a "new" one being found, that nobody's seen before.
