Very nice pieces, Martin...more that I've never seen before, though I'll bet there are colleagues here who collect these SA Sport Fest Badges! Every day is a GOOD day to learn something new on WAF!!

    Cheers,

Yes, the learning curve when refering to Third Reich Conference/Rally Badges is never ending............... I have to admit when I purchased the silver version I assumed it was baically just the silver version of the Bronze Badge..............however in hand when I examined the Badge under my eye loupe I was surprised when I realised that it was a totally different Badge and that it was only the design was the same.

Thanks, Martin. I have seen identical designs for local or regional event badges before, though not these two specifically, which means that there were manufacturers throughout Germany that produced badges for predominantly SA events based upon the same design and artwork, with only the details of the individual event differing -- meaning the date(s), location and SA-Gruppe name. A quick flip through Tieste or other of the tinnie catalogs often turns up examples of what appears to be the same badge design, though produced for different dates in different places for different SA Groups. And even so, there are still hundreds of different designs out there!

        Cheers,

        Br. James
